local SEOcitationslink ledger

One record.
Every listing.

Your client's name, address and phone are sitting on forty websites right now. Some of them are wrong. Placemark holds the one version that's correct, tells you where the internet disagrees, and fills the forms without you typing a phone number ever again.

The problem isn't blank fields. It's the ones that disagree.

An empty "year founded" costs you nothing. A phone number that's right on Google and wrong on Yelp is a live ranking problem, and it's invisible until someone goes looking. Placemark goes looking.

Every finding carries the page it came from and a confidence grade. Nothing is written to your record without you approving it, field by field, because a plausible invented value is worse than a blank one.

What it actually does

01

The fill sheet

Every field a directory asks for, held once per business — license number, service area, GBP-capped description with a live character count, categories, hours. Click any value to copy it. Copied fields keep a brass rule so you can see where you left off halfway through a submission form.

02

The presence scan

Search the web for a client and get back two lists: values you hadn't filled in, and listings that contradict what you hold. Sourced, graded, and never applied automatically.

03

The opportunity board

Seventy-odd places worth a listing, grouped core-first and filtered by trade — home services, food, brewery, automotive, industrial. Plus the plays that actually carry weight: chambers, trade bodies, manufacturer installer locators, supplier pages, sponsorships.

04

The link ledger

Source, target, anchor, rel, status. Live counts and unique root domains at a glance. Export to CSV when a client wants to see the work.

What it costs

Every plan gets the same tool — the scans, the verifier, the reports, the opportunity board. What changes is how many businesses you hold and how much you can ask Rel, because those are the two things that cost money to run.

The listings are yours, not ours

Placemark never submits on your behalf and never holds a listing hostage. You paste your client's own record into their own profile on their own account. Stop paying us and every listing stays exactly where it is, because it was never ours to withdraw.

That's the opposite of how syndication platforms work. Cancel one of those and the listings it pushed can revert to whatever was there before — you were renting accuracy rather than building it. It's why their pricing is per location per year and why leaving costs you the work.

Start on Free and upgrade when you run out of room — there's no trial to expire, because a countdown can't show you what this does. You fill a record once and it pays off across the next forty submissions, and citation work is slow by nature: Yelp verification, Google postcards and BBB queues all take days.

Built by an agency with too many of these to keep straight

Placemark started as an internal tool, built across fourteen years and eighty-odd client sites. It's shaped around that reality: a lot of businesses, constant switching between them, and getting a directory form filled in thirty seconds instead of six minutes. If you manage one location, the tools that already exist are fine. Past a handful, they stop being built for you.
